(cPanel)Creating MySQL User/Database

15 Jun , 2023 - Uncategorised

  • cPanel and go to ‘Database’ section and click on MySQL Databases.
  • You will be provided with a page that will let you create a new database as well as create a user that you will add to the database.
  • Given you can call the name of your database as well as user whatever you would like to call them, but you will need them when connecting the database to WordPress so don’t call it anything stupid.
  • Creating the User and Database is self explanatory but if needs be type in the given boxes and click create, when you click create they it will take you to a page and give you the option to go back, click it.
  • Under the Database you should see the database that you have create with the options to rename it as well as delete it if needed.
  • When creating the User you may want to remember the detail you are inputting as you will need them later on when
  • connecting the WordPress as stated previously.
  • However if you think you are smart and you try and copy the password from the password section it does not work!
  • What I have done is use the ‘Password Generator’ and copied the password from there which you are able to copy.
  • next will be adding the User to the Database which all the information is given in the click down boxes and all you need to do is add the correct user to the correct database, in this case you should not get that wrong as there is only one database and one user at this point in time.
  • once added you will need to give the user ‘All Privileges’ and then once selected make the changes.
  • Then Go back
  • completed this section for now
